Reflecting on Our Past, Charting Our Future: Middle East Librarianship in Transition

The Middle East Librarians Association (MELA) and MELCOM International are pleased to announce their joint annual conference, which will explore the rich history of Middle East librarianship while examining emerging trends and future directions in the field.

The Conference will be held at the American University of Cairo in January 2026. The event is scheduled to take place immediately before the Cairo International Book Fair, providing attendees with an opportunity to visit this important annual event in Arabic publishing.

Réfléchir à notre passé, tracer notre avenir: la bibliothéconomie du Moyen-Orient en transition

L' Association des Bibliothécaires du Moyen-Orient (MELA) et le MELCOM International ont le plaisir d'annoncer leur conférence annuelle conjointe, qui explorera la riche histoire de la bibliothéconomie du Moyen-Orient tout en examinant les tendances émergentes et les orientations futures dans ce domaine.

La conférence se tiendra à l'Université américaine du Caire en janvier 2026. L'événement devrait avoir lieu immédiatement avant la Foire internationale du livre du Caire, offrant aux participants l'occasion de visiter cet événement annuel important de l'édition arabe.

يسر جمعية مكتبيي الشرق الأوسط (MELA) وميلكوم الدولية (MELCOM International) الإعلان عن مؤتمرهما السنوي المشترك، الذي سيناقش التاريخ مكتبات الشرق الأوسط ويتطرق أيضا لدراسة الاتجاهات الناشئة والتوجهات المستقبلية في هذا المجال.

سيُعقد المؤتمر في الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة في يناير 2026, قبل إفتتاح معرض القاهرة الدولي للكتاب مباشرة، لنتيح للسادة الحضور فرصة لزيارة هذا الحدث المهم في مجال النشر العربي.
